More and more sporting organizations are turning to artificial turf for their surface needs. It doesn’t go bare, it doesn’t crack, it doesn’t get muddy and it helps to prevent injuries which can occur due to gopher holes, uneven surfaces and other hazards. Earth Design's sport turf is extremely durable and requires minimal maintenance even under the most demanding conditions.
Our putting greens are made from premium golf artificial turf that requires little to no maintenance, so that means less time mowing the grass or travelling to the course and more time perfecting your putting stroke. The high stitch rate of our artificial turf allows the ball to roll true and also provides a feel like you’re out on the golf course.
Your home putting green will require very little maintenance once it’s installed. You don’t have to worry about mowing or damage from the drought; this green will stay pristine all year round. Synthetic turf putting greens are a great alternative if you don’t want to invest in the expensive equipment and chemicals involved in maintaining a natural green.

WHAT KIND OF MAINTENANCE DOES
IT REQUIRE?
It is more of a matter of keeping it clean than maintenance. Easily remove organic materials from the surface by using a leaf blower. Rakes may be required for moving heavier objects. A stiff bristle broom can be used to “fluff” the high traffic areas. You may need to spray weeds around the perimeter or that sneak through the backing from time to time.
WHAT ABOUT QUALITY CONTROL?
All of our installations are completed by supervised and trained installers, not day laborers, which allows us to consistently maintain a high-level
of quality.
DOES IT COME WITH A WARRANTY?
Your synthetic turf lawn is backed by a solid 1 year installation warranty.
This installation warranty is valid for a period
of one (1) year from the date of substantial completion against defects in installation, including turf lifting up on edges, fasteners pulling up, seams coming apart, proper draining and water pooling, grading and low areas.
Earth Design Turf will repair, as it deems necessary, those installation issues that exhibit such defects.
Earth Design Turf does not warrant against normal wear and tear or matting. Cleaning and grooming maintenance is the responsibility of the consumer. Earth Design Turf also does not warrant against weeds, mildew, mold, fungus or wildlife as they are naturally occurring peripheral elements and are not inclusive to the installation process. Damage caused by improper use, neglect, vandalism, floods, change in water table, or other acts of mother nature are also not covered by this installation warranty.
This warranty is for installation only and does not include product defects. Please refer to your product warranty for any issues that concern defects in the synthetic turf materials. This warranty must be presented with a dated installation contract to verify lifespan.
IS IT DOG FRIENDLY?
With over 80% of our customers being dog owners, our synthetic turf is the proven solution for a pet problem lawn. Liquids drain right through and droppings can be picked up as they would be with real grass and/or washed off with a hose.
WHAT ABOUT MY KIDS PLAYING ON ARTIFICIAL TURF?
Kids love it! Our synthetic turf is softer and safer than real grass. Our Quartz infill is antimicrobial (non-toxic), allergen-free and will in no way harm either children or pets. In fact, our turf is installed in many day care centers around southern California.
HOW LONG DOES IT LAST?
Synthetic turf is designed to last 12 years in a sports field application with constant abuse. Realistically, you should expect our synthetic turf to last a period of 20-25 years in your yard.
HOW WELL DOES IT DRAIN?
Four words…better than real grass! Our artificial turf has a high volume drainage backing that drains water at a rapid rate. Coupled with the crushed stone base, it is a superior drainage system for your lawn.
CAN IT STAIN?
We haven’t come across anything that can stain it yet. Even paint can be softened with paint remover and rinsed off. Sticky spills should be hosed off to prevent them from attracting dirt and bugs.
WHAT ABOUT WEEDS?
Although weeds will be greatly reduced after your new synthetic turf is installed, we do warrant or guarantee that weeds will not occur in the future. This is true especially on the edges where it abuts to an adjoining surface. A weed killer can be sprayed on the weeds and will not damage your synthetic turf at all.
HOW HOT DOES IT GET?
Artificial turf does not stay as cool as natural grass which has water running through its leaves, but it will not absorb or radiate heat like pavement, rock or brick. Luckily, Earth Design Turf can install your new lawn with our ChillFill cooling system. Read more.
